Apparently we need a full day seminar on foam rolling.

Were you off in the corner thinking that no one saw this?

I wish we had a camera on PFP and me when we attempting ring handstand push ups this week. After summer-saulting through the rings and almost clipping my junk with the heel of his oly shoe, he manages to get up into this inverted rolly-polly looking position. When he finally manages to get himself out his first question, “was I straight up and down?”. I really can’t say I was that much better, while I did get myself straight up and down on the rings, I wrap my legs in a death grip around the straps to the point where I can’t move an inch. Trying to get out of this position is a whole other story. I’m hoping the adrenaline of competition sets in and we manage to not look like fools this weekend in grand rapids….

The first time I attempted ring HSPU’s I had to move one of the large squat racks up against the wall, hang the rings with a pad on the floor. I still ended up bloodied from hitting my head on the wall countless times. next time I tried them I just pretended they weren’t rings and got in them just like I would get in a HSPU position on the floor and it was easy.

I’m going to rub crisco all over my legs to reduce the friction on the straps, figure that should do the trick
