Good day with Troy Hockey, guys put some pretty heavy weights overhead.

It was SnOwInG in the gym today!!! No, not really. It was snowing chalk.

This picture brings us to our next point: Chalk helps. Chalk baths don’t. Please try to follow some basic chalk etiquette:
– Try to keep the blocks in one piece. Don’t purposely break them up so you can have your own piece right next to you during a workout.
– If you need chalk powder (the brick works better, trust me), get some on your hands INSIDE the bucket, keep your hands in the bucket, spread it around as needed *still inside* the bucket, brush the excess off, and bring your hands off. If chalk is dripping off your hands when you bring them out, that’s a chalk FAIL.
– I can’t think of any more offhand, but it’s mostly just common sense. Save our poor cleaning crew some effort, chalk is really a nightmare to clean up in mass quantities.
– Insert your own chalk discussion in comments.
AND, on a final note, congrats to John for finishing Angie RX’d for the first time!

Chalk you! 24:52 rx’d. First time encountering Angie, so I was pleased.
Im a chalk offender. I will pay better attention to my usage from now on. Its easy to get messy in the heat of a WOD. Thanks for the reminder. 🙂
One of my long term goals was to do Angie Rxd. I think the pull ups are the obvious challenge, but the sit ups tear me up too
My goal was to do it Rxd and not worry about time, but I think I have a good Rxd starting point for a Clydesdale.
33:29 rxd
My name is Zuul…and I have practiced poor chalk etiquette…I promise not to use chalk to mark my territory in the future…
Thank you to all who have swept up the debris that is after WOD destruction…I will do my part to try and keep it clean in the future!
Great job everyone on The Angie today!
I gotta give a shout out to Jules who also did this rxd today. Nice work sista. Only 4 of us in the 630 class. It was tough trying to keep up with hazmat and mark. You guys rocked out Angie like it was your job. Nice job guys!
Be damned all you chalk abusers!! Congrats to the Mighty Belgian….just might be the adjustments!
I do believe I have not followed proper chalk etiquette myself, but as John said things happen in the heat of battle. I will try….no I will be better.
Angie was such a bitch tonight. 4 min slower than my PR time. Maybe I had too much time off. I don’t know, but she sucked which normally isn’t bad but in this case was very bad.
20:53Rx’d
First time doing Angie Rx’d, got my max unbroken pullups right off the bat and it all went wrong from there.
Rest days as Rx’d in my future.
Hoping to hit a traveling wod or two this weekend.
Cy’all next week.
BTW- i’ve actually seen Marky Mark Mondary jump INTO a chalk bucket, bathe, swaddle himself in resin…then do 3 pull ups and repeat the process. I blame Mondary for blatant chalk abuse!
I’m not sure what I can chalk up my poor time to on Angie yesterday but I was also 3 min slower than my PR. I thought I could chalk it up to the 2 preceeding lazy days off, or chalk it up to the high humidity compared to the perfect conditions of springtime climate when setting my PR. Whatever the reason, I’m planning on chalking up some new PR’s on the darn whiteboard in the very near future……enough already!
Pat Burt is the chalkinator.
Chalka Khan?
Chald turds suck lol
Chalk turds not chald
I love when people chalk up for ring dips and hspu…they say “That way I know where to put my hands!”…hilarious..
I am bummed I missed Angie, but I will also admit the slight fear of 100 pullups rx’d.
