I felt so damn good after doing this WOD. It’s a rare occasion that I get a “high” from a WOD, but this one did it for me. I’m sure my time will be better next time.

Tom and Jake – You guys are amazing. Tom, I remember watching you struggle to do your first muscle-ups just a few months ago. Now you are tearing it up with 30. That is so cool.
By the way, it looks like Ryanne also did a fantastic job today, and from the description I got of Carey’s workout, I think she gets the award for the “Most Gutsy WOD Performance of the Year” (or maybe its a tie between this and JD’s Deadlift/Pullup WOD and the Crossfit Games Regional Qualifier)

This WOD was very hard- It was really great and motivating to hear how much ambition and dedication Carey has- after all it is “just a workout” right?- WRONG!!!! It is Crossfit!!!! Also it was great to watch and learn from Tom and Ryanne as they both kicked ass— Good Luck to you Ryanne—-I hope you did not get any scabs on your arms from this one— ONE DAY LEFT!!!!!!

Carey started off hoping to get 3. Once she started she was hoping on getting to 10 and then switching to pu’s and dips. I kept telling her she could do it and she kept going. She had 29 mu’s in 29 minutes. she couldn’t get the last one, even though at about 34 minutes she had this great 3/4 muscle up that we all could have counted as her last one. Nope, she kept going until it was done at 52 minutes with about 10 missed tries for the last one. Pretty awesome and gutsy if you ask me.

Thanks all… it was a brutal, brutal WOD!
As Jake explained… I honestly thought I was only going to get 3 or 5 and than have to switch to pull-ups and ring dips. I just kept going and going w/ the MUs. Well, I got 29 MUs in 29 minutes w/ some failed attempts mixed in. I extremely struggled w/ the 30th one. After what felt like 1-million attempts to get that 30th one – I scaled it and did 4 pull-ups and 4 ring-dips – time: 44:50. I grabbed my stuff and headed for the car – opened the door put my stuff in and ran back to the rings… w/ the clock still running – I gave it one last try and GOT IT! My time: 52:08!
IT WAS A GREAT FEELING!
Congrats to Ryanne and Tom for getting their 30 MUs too!
Thank you sooooo much JD and Jake for the motivation! You guys rock!
