Just about a week ago we’ve implemented the leader board for benchmark workouts. Basically, an entire 8′ x 8′ section of wall has names listed down the left side, and workouts across the top. When we perform a benchmark workout (any of “the girls” or “the heroes” workouts listed on the crossfit main site), we’ll post the time and any scaling on the board. If you do the workout as prescribed, your time goes up in red, if you do it with scaling, it goes up in black.

If you’ve seen the workouts, they all aren’t exactly easy to do as prescribed. I’ve not seen too many people who can complete “Linda” as prescribed in a reasonable amount of time safely, after all, a total of 45 reps of 1 1/2 times bodyweight deadlift isn’t exactly cake, it’d fry even me just doing the deadlifts, not to mention the bodyweight bench press (my weak point), and 3/4 bodyweight cleans.  That may be why “Linda” is a workout I don’t expect to see more than once every six months.

But give me a Helen to do, and I’m loving it.

So, keep an eye out when you’re at the place, and look for new PR’s to be set on the leader board.
