I think I left my kb out when I left today…bad Zuul…bad…
Think I figured out today why I didn’t grow up and become a lumberjack. OHS are NOT my strong suit, really struggled with them. Fun WOD though! And great job to Amy B. who rocked the house tonight!!
My current deadlift pr

I little clarification on the topic of Teams please….what does it mean to “qualify” ? in the open sectional does a person have to signify they are competing for the affiliate cup…JD, Vinny or Matt what did this look like in 2008?
Anyone else think this WOD seriously sucked ass? Kept thinking it would never end and recovery time was way worse than “Fran”! Didn’t do Rx’d weights and still took 31:34. Sorry Mondary I slowed you down with the bar sharing
The way I read it is everybody starts by doing the series of WODs for the individual category. Then you either make it as an individual or the top 6 (whatever the break down is) can then be grouped into the affiliate team for the gym. This is my interpretation of it…
so only firebreathers need apply
What if I can breath fire, but I’m not very strong? 🙂 Can I apply?
By the way, this workout was the closest I have been to puking!!!!
Did the lumberjack 12/09…had only been doing cf for one month so nothing was rx’d. This time doing it I did everything rx’d except chest to bar and db squats…time was 38:07..I think.
It is amazing what a year can do!
I’m with PFP…not my favorite workout. Totally had my butt kicked.
Thanks for the support Stema and Cat. Didnt want to be the only little girl in the box
Since there is no definition anywhere for ‘firebreather’ everybody should do it that is interested in competing. Whether it’s at the Arnold or in our box…there is no minimum ability level to compete. There is however a ‘sack’ requirement. So…nut up fellas! Already have 3 chicks for the OCCF games btw.
What’s the Arnold? I saw it on the site, but still have no idea what it is…..
Stema…Go ahead and fire up the ol’ google machine and type in ‘the arnold’. See what happens…:-)
Do they still have “the Arnold” now that Gary Coleman is dead?
Stema,
Not too strong…….no problem. Many people have confused the term firebreather over the years and made it into something completely different than what it was intended to represent. The term was originally coined by Greg A. years ago, when after the work out he repreatedly commented that his lungs were burning so badly that it felt like he had breathed fire into them. It speaks to how hard you go, not what place you finish.
