Just checking in here. It’s been about 2 weeks since I issued the 30 day challange, so I wanted to see how everybody was doing. I know not everybody is participating 100% but if the challenge is helping you make a few better decisions here and there I guess it’s not all bad.
On a related note…
As many of you remember, when you go through your initial assessment I tell you about the CrossFit diet. Eat meat and veggies nuts and seeds. Some fruit, little starch and NO sugar. Everybody hears that from me soo…It’s kind of up to the athlete on whether or not they’re going to do it.
Well, about 6 weeks ago Nick Murri came through his assessment and foundations classes and he got the same speech everybody gets. Fast forward to last week. I looked at him and couldn’t really believe my eyes! “How much weight did you lose?” I asked. Nicks response was. “I dunno, I haven’t weighed myself!”. So, I had him step on the scale and he weighed in at about 173 fully clothed. Lost about 30 pounds in 6 weeks!! I asked him what he did and he said, “I did what you told me! I just started eating meat, veggies, nuts and fruit”. WHO KNEW?
Even more impressive. Nick is about the only person I’ve ran across that literally HAS to eat sugar! It’s his job! Nick is a Pastry Chef at a fancy schmancy restaurant and has to taste everything he makes. It’s a job requirement!
Losing 30#’s in 6 weeks obviously isn’t typical but Nick has been very disciplined. Little or no cheats, and consistency in the gym. He keeps getting better and the results are undeniable. Here’s a few pics of good ol’ St. Nick.
(The before pic doesn’t really do him justice)

Nick………great stuff man, keep up the hard work.
I’m soo proud of you!
I’d post my pic but when youre 400 lbs and you lose 30…you still weigh 370!…lol
Nick great job, its nice to see somebody follow the program with such discipline. You will start seeing hugh jumps on the white board and crushing some PRs.
Great job Nick…how about that cheesecake now??? LOL!
Amazing! Nice job Nick……..you look great!
Nice work Nick!!! When you get done losing all of your weight you can help me with mine!
