Dawn, Kaityln, Jaclyn and Martha (MCCF) were talking about diet today after class so that got me to thinking…
Melissa Byers over at Whole 9 Life has a great 30 day challenge for people that are having a bit of trouble with their diet or that may need a but of a jump start to reaching their goals. Click here for details.
If you’re in…Put your name in the comments.
Just about everybody is slow to jump on the diet bandwagon…basically everybody that doesn’t eat well, hasn’t done it, so they don’t know the benefits. Once they do – they stick with it. It’s that simple.
I’ve done it…it isn’t that hard.
One tip from me…
If you’re hungry, and there isn’t anything good to eat. DON’T EAT! You won’t starve to death! And no…your metabolism won’t ‘shut down’.
Have fun!!
Who’s in??
At least one of you mentioned that you are on a specific plan Rx’d by your Dr. The ‘BRAT’ diet is an insulin spiking, inflammation causing, gut rotting fat storage diet. If you have the squirts, you probably won’t die anyway.
If you are concerned though, please check with your Dr. Then ask him his ‘Fran’ time 😉
Do I really have to give up alcohol??? Entirely????
NO!!! Only for 30 days…
I don’t have the patience to eat that much vegetable.
And I’d sooner die than give up cheese. seriously.
You only have to eat enough veggies that you aren’t hungry. And I felt the same way about cheese til I gave it up. If it doesn’t mess with your gut you’re usually fine. Do the challenge with dairy JPM….but you can’t win the prize!! 🙂
Prizes? Really? 🙂
Last 3 days, buttloads of meat, some nuts, some veggies, lotta fat, very little fruit. Don’t really crave much, except more water.
Sounds like a good challenge. I’m in. (Had already been planning this anyway.)
hmmm maybe, I think I’m close to this any way except the drinkin….Melissa and Dallas are rock stars in the Paleo diet world
Martha, Katelyn and I read your recent post, we r in but looked up on the Whole 9 and thought there was a day by day diet available but we didn’t see one…what do we do? HELP!!!
Day 1. Eat meat and veggies…lil’ fruit. That’s it.
Repeat x 30.
See me in a month!
What are options for the Vegetarian that does not want to give up cheese????
No cheese…sorry Hippie. The point of this is to get your body operating optimally. That means, eating the highest quality food that your body was meant to eat. Unfortunately, dairy isn’t part of the equation. So…eat meat!! :-).
Seriously, I will say – if you give it up for a month and you WANT to add it back into your diet go ahead. Most people don’t. I love cheese and want to be able to eat it occasionally so I still eat dairy sometimes because I don’t want to lose my ability to digest it. That’s what I tell myself anyway.
Thanks- I get it…. if I want to be optimal…..
Who’s Mike Farmer and how do u put a picture in your reply???????
I think if you create a google profile or something you can select an avatar or whatever. Mike is an ‘evening’ guy…been with us a few months or so.
