Tommy over at FIT Inc is hosting a benefit on Sunday, Oct 25th from 11-4, all proceeds to go to the Misuraca family. Kelly Misuraca is scheduled to have surgery to remove a tumor on her pancreas on Mon, Oct 5th. Her son Joey, a twin, has been diagnosed with Stage IV Burkitt’s Lymphoma and is facing 8 months of chemotherapy. Kelly’s husband, Paul, is out of work and Kelly is unable to return to work. They also have 2 other children.
Fit inc will feature a 2000 meter rowing competition (via Concept 2 Race Venue), pull up competition, and work out of the day competition with co-owner Tommy Luna. A $10 donation is requested for each participant. Registration is 11:00 am -12:00 pm and competitions will begin at 12:30pm.
There will be hot dogs, cupcakes, cookies, a cake walk, massages, gift basket raffles, 50-50 drawings, and much more. Eisenhower Art Students will be on hand for face painting, removable tattoos and caricatures.
Knickerbocker Bakery will have ciabatta and specialty breads fresh from the oven. 1659 Rochester Rd, 1/2 block north of 15 Mile Rd.
