So Dr. J’s wife Erin keeps making such ‘paleo’ goodies such as this chocolate chip raspberry torte. Where does everybody stand on this? Paleo? Sure, depending on your definition. I say, if you’re trying to lose weight you should stay away. Thoughts?

On the other hand. If you’re at your ideal leanness – have at it!
Agree. But i love making the “treats ” with my kids, and they love eating them! And I would eat a lot less of them if I stopped going to the chiropractor… π
HEY! I’m trying out my baking skills JD. And as many women know…..sometimes we need a little comfort food once a MONTH….lol. AND…I didn’t create this recipe, it’s off a paleo website….so then it’s paleo right?:)
Yeah…you just need to eat more meat.
Oh, don’t worry, I eat my meat:):):)
I just made Pale Chocolate Chip cookies. I feel great feeding them to my kids and I was able to scarf down 2. I feel incredibly guilty for eating 2 because calories are calories! Itβs a better and cleaner treat if I do say so myself, but I still feel the need to run around the block!
Wait…Susie R?
susie-that hurt! BTW, who’s Dr J?
I think “paleo” is getting stretched a little thin with the treats. I don’t have a problem with it and I think people have to make their own decisions and hold themselves accountable. I think if we can label something “paleo” (no matter how much we stretch it) we feel it absolves us from having to think about responsible nutrition. I meet a lot of people that feel because they shop at Trader Joes or Whole Foods they don’t have to think about what they are putting in their mouths. What you eat is a personal choice, if their is some reasoning and thought behind your choices you are doing far better than most.
