MCCF is supporting Captain Jason Schulz, Commander, E Co 1-508 PIR-82nd Airborne Division. He is keeping the Soldiers under his command in shape with CrossFit. Last Friday they had “Freaky Friday Fran”. After the event word spread around FOB Pasab and they are looking to host another small event which we will support by sending T-Shirts and Shorts to give away to the athletes. If your wondering what the small cement hut is behind the pull ups bars, that’s cover for when there is incoming rockets or mortars.
If you are interested in donating some extra CF gear (new only) you have sitting around let me know and I will get it in the next package going down range.
Sometimes we forget that we are a Nation at war. There are men and women that leave their families at home while they stand on that provebial “wall” so that we can sleep at night.
CrossFit is all about the community, whether its a drop in from out of town or a Soldier half way across the globe. We make the community stronger when we help our fellow CrossFitters.
Awesome pictures! Surreal. Words can not express my gratitude to those that serve our Country.
As a chick, my extra MCCF gear wouldn’t quite fit, how about a financial donation? I could purchase T shirts for the crew.
It’s cool to see the guys wearing their new MCCF gear. Like Kerrie, I would be happy to throw in a couple bucks towards supporting the cause.
I have slowly been starting to feel the effects of this wod today. Traps and most of the muscle in my upper back are starting to tighten up on me. I knew the front squats would smoke me, but I wasn’t expecting my forearms to get so burned out on this. Guess I really need to start getting more comfortable with the hook grip….
Don’t have any new or newer CF gear lying around, but I’ll buy some new MCCF gear to send down range. God Bless Our Troops. How does the saying go? “People sleep peaceably in their beds at night because rough men stand ready to do violence on their behalf.” Stay safe my brothers and get home soon.
Very cool. As for the WOD. I hadn’t done it in almost 4 years…17:54 RX’d which was about a 12 minute PR.
