People on here usually post up about their accomplishments and advancements in rounds completed and weight increased. Today was the complete antithesis. I by far had the worst day thus far. I’m not a huge squat clean guy to begin with and as most of you know, today was Elizabeth. It kicked my ass first mentally and then physically. I got a lesson today in attitude affecting my workout…first time for me that it has happened to the point I wanted to pick up my shit, leave and call it a day. I didn’t. Struggled through it till I hit 21minutes and change and JD stopped the insanity. I will have to make sure that my mind is in it before I do this workout again. Me saying “I hate squat cleans” killed my enthusiasm and will to succeed. This can’t happen again. Sorry to ramble but had to get it off my chest. See y’all there tommorow!

Terry it is good to get it off your chest. We’ve all been there in some way. If this is your 1st bad attitude day then your a better person then I. Tomorrow will be better!

TBone don’t sweat it dude. LIke Annette said, we’ve all been there. I know I’ve had days where in the middle of a WOD a voice in my head says “Hey why don’t you just stop.” I’ve never stopped and never will. You didn’t either and now you’re a better person for it. You’ve pushed beyond your limits that your mind thought it had. Next time you do Elizabeth you’ll be amazed at how much better you’ll do. Great job today my brother and keep up the good work.

Terry, no worries, you will get it next time. This was a hard workout and we all have weaknesses when it comes to cf…I know I do 🙂
I didn’t think I did too bad on this one…..
65# and blue band…close to 15 min.

Terry: as an eye-witness to your workout last night, I can tell you that you have NOTHING to feel bad about! You worked as hard as you could and just kept going. Keep it up – next time you will rock that WOD!
Last time I did this, I was a big baby and switched to power cleans after the first round – wasn’t going to let myself do that again! Did the squat cleans rx’d, but had to use the red band for ring dips – 18 min. Elizabeth is mean.

If you guys get a chance check out the wall street journal article on the CF main site about Hector Delgado. I have worked out with this guy at Spartan Performance while I was home on leave. He is truly an inspiration and an example of what you can accomplish if you never give up.

Terry – consider that the first “battle” that you’ve encountered in CF. There will be more battles. Now you’ve made it though it mentally and physically and exactly what Tom and Annette said… next time (which THERE will be a next time) – it WILL be sooo much better. I’m not gonna say it won’t suck cause it still will but trust me… it’ll be better.
Honestly, it’s days like these that makes me love CF that much more cause it DOES make you stronger mentally and physically!
My time: 10:58 RX’d (PR)
**I felt as if I could’ve pushed myself a little harder but I think I’m always saying that afterwards. Ugh! It is what it is…**
